Please make no mistake about it; having the right place to eat while touring the city of Dallas is of great importance. Choosing what we want to eat can be challenging enough, but adding where we want to eat to the list can make afternoon dining a daunting task. We don’t want to end up with lackluster service or an overpriced menu that doesn’t match the quality of our food. Here is a handy guide to the top restaurants and eateries to stop in for lunch in the Dallas, Texas, area.

Lunch Spots in Dallas
Coming up 1st on the list is a place well known but often overlooked because of its name. We didn’t expect to find prepared lunch items with “food store” as part of the company’s branding.

Jimmy’s Food Store

4901 Bryan St Dallas TX 75206

Jimmy’s Food Store offers various Italian-style sandwiches ranging from subs to paninis, which they call Paninos. They offer a few traditional-style sandwiches for those who prefer simpler tastes. They have vegetarian-friendly foods and vegan options, but most of the menu caters to Italian and Tuscan cuisine, including the deserts. This eatery is mainly take-out, and the hours for orders are 10 am to 6:30 pm. As with most restaurants, they have new serving guidelines, and they do not offer in-restaurant dining or patio seating at this time due to the pandemic. They are top-rated for their food and service, and they are reasonably priced.

Next on the list at number 2 is Cafe 43, a little cafe specializing in only brunch and lunch.

Dining here does not require admission to the library or museum. A perfect place to have a small business meeting, and the service is rated top-notch. We enjoyed the artwork, the overall experience as well as the food.

Now, this next place is not just open for lunch, and we highly recommend stopping in for their fantastic food, so it goes on the list as number 3 for the top spots for lunch in Dallas.
