3700 McKinney Ave #150, Dallas, TX 75204
(214) 613-3570

Despite being hard to find– and almost impossible to park close–people have not stopped flocking to this dessert spot. And it is easy to understand why. The shop is brimming with delicious treats, from tea cakes, like chocolate almond financiers and citrus madeleines to tarts to French-inspired biscuits, pastries, and scones.

You cannot go amiss by trying anything from the pastry case. However, you will be missing out if you do not try the restaurant’s signature macarons. Other flavors include hazelnut, pistachio, salted caramel, coffee, and tiramisu. Also, the lavender honey ones and éclairs are generally a hit.

Glazed Donut Works found in Deep Ellum

2644 Elm St., Dallas, TX 75226
(214) 741-2275

It is no surprise that this gourmet doughnut store in Deep Ellum has long lineups practically every time it is open. Blueberry mascarpone, maple bacon, and creme brulee are just a few of the unique flavors it offers. On weekends, the restaurant is open until the early hours of the morning, so you do not have to get up earlier than usual to savor these deep-fried flavor bombs.
Glazed specializes in hand-crafted and small-batch donuts (both yeast and cake varieties), which come in a bewildering array of flavors. The do-lache is a doughnut-kolache hybrid drizzled with maple glaze and sandwiched with a smoked sausage with maple-blueberry. To this end, this is an ideal option for those who cannot decide between sweet and spicy.
Sandwich donuts are also available, including a fantastic Monte Cristo with turkey, Swiss, ham, and homemade habanero jam in raspberry flavor. The Elvis Killer menu item, topped with banana, peanut butter, bacon, and honey, is a must-try. Do not forget about the banana pudding.

La Duni Latin Kitchen and Coffee Studio in Northpark

This well-known brasserie is known for its decadent desserts and Comfort cuisine with a Latin twist. The owners of Dunia Borga, Taco, and La Duni have built a mini-empire out of their Pan-Latin specialties, with many locations across the metroplex. Tequila-guava baby back ribs and Empanadas, as well as a range of inventive sandwiches, are among the menu’s highlights.
It is also worth noting that the menu got its inspiration from the delicious cuisines of Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Cuba, Colombia, and Mexico. You might want to forego the dinner and come for coffee and dessert if you have a natural sugar craving.

The cuatro leches dessert, which consists of caramelized Swiss meringue smothered in cuatro leches, is famous. Also delectable is the velvety smooth hot chocolate. Do not forget to try the cinnamon brioche rolls before you go. Chocolate pudding is also another delicacy.

Whisk Crepes Café, Oak Cliff

In Dallas, where can you get deliciously real, made-to-order crepes? Fortunately, this nook of a creperie in Oak Cliff’s beautiful newly built Sylvan Thirty development has won the hearts of local Francophiles. It offers an impressive selection of spicy and sweet crepes.

Two tasty combinations include smoked brisket with barbeque cream and ham and cheese. Among the delicious crepes that will have you halting in your tracks are a poached pear with homemade caramel, lemon curd with strawberries, and roasted pineapple with ice cream, ginger, and whipped cream.

That is not taking into account all the different ways you may personalize them. You can opt to use either a wide variety of jams, Nutella, butter and sugar, or chocolate sauce. The espresso is fantastic. On the other hand, homemade hot chocolate is far superior.

Society Bakery, Greenville Avenue

3610 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206, USA
(214) 827-1411

Society Bakery makes the best whoopie pies and cupcakes in town, without a doubt. If you do not believe us, perhaps this can convince you. The Food Network’s Duff Goldman and Ellen DeGeneres and Duff Goldman named them among the most delicious in the country.

It is easy to understand why. The cupcakes are available in dozens. They consist of more delectable flavors ranging from coconut cream and key lime to vanilla salted caramel, ethereal. The whoopie pies are the same way. Goldman’s favorite is the red velvet cake with peppermint cream cheese icing stuffed in between, also known as peppermint red velvet. But, we believe that the bread puddings are the best.

Society Bakery does an excellent job with pies, cakes, and other desserts. They also make muffins and petite fours, as well as cookies and brownies. Are you in the mood for something a little more filling? Sandwiches and toasts with a twist are served for lunch.
