Addison is a popular neighborhood within the Dallas metroplex. Many young people who work in Plano, Frisco, and Carrollton call this area home, and much of it has to do with the countless outdoor attractions, the nightlife, and so many great places to eat. We’ve found some of the best restaurants to try when you’re in the Addison neighborhood.

When you want a tried and true place for good food, Nate’s has been on the scene since 1988. The Cajun restaurant offers hearty steaks, Gulf seafood, and much more. There’s a bit of everything on the menu, but the Louisiana boiled crawfish is what they are famous for. As soon as you see the bright pink barn, you’ll know you’ve arrived. Once inside, you’ll be greeted with a casual interior and seating on the open patio. There’s a happy hour throughout the week and the even have live music here that’s fun to check out.

Manny’s is a local chain of Tex-Mex restaurants, and Addison is fortunate enough to have one of the colorful restaurants within the Pavilion North Shopping Center. Margaritas and Palomas dominate the bar menu. The lunch and dinner menu features everything from flautas to enchiladas. There’s a breakfast menu that is available from open to close every day of the week, and they open early on Saturdays and Sundays. Migas, breakfast burritos, and more fill that menu. And, of course, you’ll find brunch-worthy cocktails, too.

Gyu-Kaku is a Japanese chain where you can actually get to cook your food on individual tabletop grills. It’s a good time for the whole family and you can try all different kinds of meat, seafood, and veggies. It’s all-you-can-eat, and there’s over 70 menu items to choose from to grill. They also offer an entire sushi menu, so if you don’t feel like grilling your own food, there’s other options.

Ida Claire is an American restaurant with a flair for creating beautiful, Instagram-worthy plates. The menu features southern dishes with an international spin. You’ll also find some amazing cocktails when you’re in the mood for libations. The dining room has an industrial vibe, but the real place to dine is on the open patio when the weather is nice. Wherever you sit, be sure to start with an order of duck nachos. Nothing here will disappoint!

La Spiga is a casual bakery where you can walk up to the counter to order sandwiches, soups, and an array of pizzas. The brick oven on-site ensures everything has a bit of added flavor, and that includes fresh bread. And always be sure you check out some of their daily specials.. You can dine in their dining room or place an order online to come in and pick it up.

The Maple Leaf Diner is a beautiful eatery with cozy booths just south of Addison. You’ll find menu items like poutine as well as latkes, Reubens, and more. Breakfast is served all day, and the diner closes by 2:30 PM on most days. The bakery part of the Maple Leaf is where you’ll find amazing stuffed cookies. There’s also an outpost where you’ll be able to go in and grab some of your favorite things to bring home.

Don’t think we misspelled the name of the restaurant; it’s a clever play on words. It’s some of the best BBQ in the Dallas area, and it is affordable, too. The specials are written on the chalkboard, and you’ll find meats such as brisket, beef ribs, turkey, burnt ends, and Wagyu beef bologna. Picnic benches fill the dining room, offering up plenty of seating for you to enjoy your meal. Be sure to pay attention to their hours of operation as they are closed on certain days of the week and only open for lunch. Since they have limited hours, it’s also not uncommon to see a line out the door, so plan accordingly.

Table 13 is the ultimate restaurant in Addison for date night. The fine dining establishment is known for its live music, cocktails, and innovative menu. While open for lunch and dinner, you’ll want reservations for anything in the evening. Lobster bisque, escargot, pecan-crusted salmon, and Beef Wellington are among some of our favorites on the menu. The restaurant also features an extensive wine menu, and servers will be happy to help you find the best pairing for your meal.
