The big game calls for cold beverages, great food, and plenty of seating near a big screen. So when we want to cheer along our team or just catch up with the latest sporting events, we love to snag a barstool at one of these awesome sports bars in Charleston!

Charleston Sports Pub

1124 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, Charleston, SC 29412
(843) 203-3329

Charleston Sports Pub is a solid sports bar perfect for catching a game, bringing a whole team to celebrate a win or even just to stop in to grab some good bar food in a lively spot. When it comes to the grub, we love to share a plate of Mango Habanero Wings or Loaded Pub Style Totchos, a crispy, queso-loaded plate of tots disguised as nachos. Charleston Sports Pub’s multiple locations around town make it easy to slide onto a barstool to experience a great meal and a fun atmosphere any night of the week.

Meeting at Market

120 Market St, Charleston, SC 29401
(843) 724-7205

Perfect for enjoying a relaxed drink and watching a game, Meeting at Market is less sports bar than most places on our list. But we love going here for the charming location inside of Charleston Place and the upscale feel of this sports bar. Some of the delicious menu items here we can’t stop thinking about are the Black Pepper Molasses Fried Ribs, the High Wire Fried Chicken and the Brisket Chili with Habanero Crema. Add on a nice cold local IPA and you’re in for a good time.

Charleston Beer Works

480 King St, Charleston, SC 29403
(843) 577-5885

A classic sports bar on the outside, Charleston Beer Works offers so much more once you step inside. From weekly running meetups to music bingo nights, this sports bar is fun every night of the week. Their elevated menu items like the Kansas City-style BBQ Bubba Burger, the CBW Pork and White Bean Chili and the Wicked Steak shaved sirloin sandwich go perfectly with one of CBW’s many beer and cocktail options.

The Brick

24 Ann St, Charleston, SC 29403
(843) 998-6828

Sports bars are known for their typical bar food fare, but The Brick knocks it out of the (ball)park with their Lowcountry Poutine and Fried Green Tomato shareable offerings. But if snagging a tasty burger like the Blue Buffalo Burger or the basic Simple Man burger is more your style, you won’t be disappointed with what The Brick is serving up.

Blind Tiger Pub

36-38 Broad St, Charleston, SC 29401
(843) 872-6700

The gorgeous patio at Blind Tiger Pub is just as fun a spot to catch a game as the inside dining space at this historic location. The cozy inside does feature a tiger on the wall, watching over the bar area along with the many sports fans that crowd the Blind Tiger every night. But we love the food options here just as much as the drinks and the game watching. Some great options include the Chargrilled Oysters, the House Kettle Chips doused with bleu cheese crumbles and the Bourbon Bread Pudding served a la mode.

Big John’s Tavern

251 E Bay St, Charleston, SC 29401
(843) 641-7269

Walking into this quaint red corner bar, you instantly feel the camaraderie of the staff and the regulars. But don’t let that stop you from trying out one of our favorite sports bars in Charleston because you, too, will quickly feel like you belong here when you order the house-favorite Clothesline Bacon like those in the know. Some of our other top food choices here are the Tuna Poke and the Southern Seafood Roll, both surprisingly delicious options at a sports bar.

Uptown Social

587 King St, Charleston, SC 29403
(843) 793-1837

This kitschy sports bar feels like a hip version of an old saloon, but locals and visitors flock to Uptown Social to watch games, drink large format cocktails and snack on great food. We crave Uptown Social’s Pizza Dough Bites, perfect for sharing with a Marg Meets Mojito pitcher, enough for three friends. But Uptown’s creative pies like the Wake N Bacon, a hybrid breakfast pizza, and the Hot Honey pizza, slathered with Calabrian chili sauce and habanero honey, are both to die for.

Home Team BBQ

126 Williman St, Charleston, SC 29403
(843) 225-7427

Barbeque and sports are the perfect pairing, and Home Team BBQ is where we go when we want a big, juicy plate of BBQ while we watch our favorite team play. This rustic barbeque joint smokes their meat to perfection, and they have competition awards to prove it from their catering team that travels to BBQ competitions. But at home in Charleston, some of Home Team’s best menu items are their Pulled Pork, Chopped Brisket Sandwich, BBQ Nachos and Fiery Don’s Smoked Wings.
