Northside Shack

1255 Rosecrans St, San Diego, CA 92106
(619) 738-8233

The large Acai Bowl is positively scrumptious and is a patron favorite at the “Northside Shack.” It is an organic dish in a huge cup filled with fruit and granola. The “Northside Shack” is a great way to make delicious selections without sacrificing taste for dieters.

Hodad’s

5010 Newport Ave, San Diego, CA 92107
(619) 224-4623

Continue the tour food adventure by eating at the famous “Hodads” This iconic restaurant has been around since 1969, starting on the beachfront in San Diego. The decorum of Hodad license plates now sits on mainstream Newport Ave. The massive menu attracts people from all over the country. The portions are absolutely wild, way too big for a single bite. If planning on neatness, forget it. The food is literally oozing with deliciousness.

When on a food tour, unless I have a huge appetite, I need to take a break and enjoy the sites of San Diego, especially the beaches. Now that I have rested up, time for the next meal along the weekend in San Diego food tour/American Eats.

Blue Water Seafood Market and Grill

3667 India St, San Diego, CA 92103
(619) 497-0914

I personally find few things more fun than getting seafood straight off the boat. However, getting seafood fresh and having someone prepare it, well, that is a bonus. Customers are in for a treat with fresh seafood, wines, plenty of lemons, and spicy sauce to tingle your tastebuds. Yellowtail with ginger and lemon and the Black Sea Bass are tasty and fished locally.

Mexican Street Food/Nine Seas

3030 Grape Street, San Diego, CA 92102
(619) 279-0010

Some people park the car and get around on foot for a Weekend in San Diego Food tour, and some take their vehicle. However, if I choose not to drive myself on the San Diego Food Tour, I can take a bus tour for around $150, then enjoy Mexican Street food or delicious Italian cuisine. Also, include a delightful variety of coffee along the way.

Liberty Station

2820 Historic Decatur Rd, San Diego, CA 92106
(619) 487-9346

“Liberty Station,” filled with a history of movie making and military heritage, now hosts a splendid selection of restaurants geared for healthy delicacies. On this property, enjoy the SoCal, Tea, and Biscuits, or Slater’s 50/50. If I fly into San Diego and have a bit of time, Liberty Station is an excellent place to eat and spend a layover.

Café Coyote

2461 San Diego Ave, San Diego, CA 92110
(619) 291-4695

Visit “Old Town” San Diego and enjoy “Café Coyote.” The décor and the food at Café Coyote are representative of old California and was established in 1769. Stop by this historical place for lunch, dinner, or Happy Hour. Food is simple and spicy eaten in a great atmosphere.

Whether I decide to take a walking tour or ride around and visit each distinctive part of the San Diego area, I know I will find plentiful food and drink ready to serve, and other hungry customers will too. On the San Diego Food Tour, walk the streets that royals and bandits walked while exploring foods served for centuries to Queens and peasants alike.
