This local favorite located in Mission Hills is a fish market restaurant with some of the freshest local fish and other seafood. The local fish is served in delicious dishes for instance tacos, sandwiches, and main course meals.

 

The sea bass taco is delicious, the halibut sandwich and Track Taco are some of the filling and delicious meals available. Other must-try dishes are the butter jalapeño lime mussels, red snapper, grilled shrimp, and bluefin tuna tacos. The fish and chips with house tartar sauce is another tasty dish. There is indoor and outdoor patio seating which is lovely in the warm weather.

Jake’s Del Mar is located right at the beachfront. The restaurant serves seafood such as Maine lobster, filet mignon, Peruvian shrimp ceviche, and the mixed seafood pot. There are gluten-free meals for people who want the option. There is also a kid’s menu with options like mac and cheese, fish and chips, and cheeseburger.

 

The desserts are delectable with Jake’s famous hula pie with macadamia nut ice cream piled high on a chocolate cookie crust and dripping hot fudge being worth every bit of it. The restaurant serves lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. The fresh seafood makes this one of the best restaurants on the beach in San Diego

The fish and chips at this restaurant are delicious and served hot. The grilled fish is served with butter and garlic and is perfectly seasoned. Other meal options include fish tacos served with green salad, beans or fries and coleslaw. The New England clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl is delicious with the bread freshly baked.

 

The fish basket with two large pieces of fish and fries with tartar sauce is delicious and filling. The fish is very fresh and served in sizable portions. To get good outdoor seating, you have to come early because it is on a first-come basis.

This 1894 beach cottage restaurant is a staple of good food in La Jolla. The menu is made of delicious fresh seafood. We had the sea bass served fresh, shrimp salad and we accompanied with delicious wine. The food was fresh and tasty and was served in reasonable portions. There is a kids’ menu, and the drinks menu is excellent with local beers and delicious cocktails.

 

The view of La Jolla’s shoreline is fantastic. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner with a seasonal brunch menu. The views and great food make this one of the best restaurants on the beach in San Diego.

Ob Noodle House and Sake Bar serve Asian fusion cuisine. The food is great with dishes such as the buttery and flavorful fish that is done with a ginger and garlic sauce, summer shrimp served with a coleslaw that is fresh and crunchy, and the bun vermicelli noodles are delicious and seasoned just right.

 

The pho and house fried rice are their notable minions, with the delicate spices bringing out the fresh ingredients. However, the spicy wings are the big winner with just the correct seasoning and crunch to keep you coming back for more. The giant shrimp are tasty and served in large portions.

Acapulco Bay Seafood is a relaxed Mexican restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. The food is tasty with Acapulco style filet with shrimp, carne Asada tacos, a Quebrada tostada, Baja shrimp tacos, and the shrimp garlic mojo are tasty and well prepared. The margaritas are excellent, and there is an impressive drinks menu.

 

The desserts are delicious, and Mexican rice pudding with coconut, flan, sweetened fried plantains with either sweetened condensed milk, strawberry jam, or cajeta is the perfect ending to the food. The atmosphere is relaxing and great for lunch or dinner, and the wait staff is friendly, and the service is quick.

Coasterra is serves seafood and Mexican dishes. The location is impressive, with a restaurant and lounge, which is very impressive. The views are awe-inspiring, and the food is delicious. We had the calamari, tender Belly Pork Carnitas, the cream of corn, and tortilla soup. We ate the Seared Dayboat scallops, oysters.

 

The different dishes come with different sauces, which complement the food perfectly. Special mention goes to the tender pork carnitas that was tender and full of flavor and spiced just right. The decor is elegant, and the service is friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and offers great suggestions making it one of the best Restaurants On the Beach in San Diego.

This Italian eatery is located at the Coronado Ferry Center, with beautiful views of Downtown San Diego from across the bay. The food is good with dishes like tomato bruschetta, vodka sauce pasta, gnocchi Bolognese and seafood platter, which had salmon, white fish, calamari (rings and squid kind), three juicy scallops, and plump grilled shrimp.

 

The house bread is baked fresh and comes in a large portion with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, making it perfect for the soup you order. The desserts were excellent, and we tried the gelato, which was airy and excellent tasting. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and brunch.

Hodad’s Ocean Beach

Hodad’s boasts that they have the best burgers, and this is true. The burgers served in this beachfront restaurant are delicious. We had the bacon cheeseburger and the Guido Burger, which comes with Guido Burger, Hodad’s famous burger with pastrami, catsup, pickles, Swiss cheese, grilled onions, and spicy brown mustard and onion rings and everything was exceptionally good.

 

They also have a veggie burger and delicious chicken. They serve craft brew. Hodad’s is open for lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and chill, and if you are looking for a fun spot with delicious burgers, you will not be disappointed.

The Marine Room serves cuisine from all over the globe with signature dishes such as pancetta and yuzu cream, Ocean Trilogy (lobster medallion, ahi tuna tartare, Hiramasa sashimi), and lobster bisque. The main courses are Sake Poached Maine Diver Scallops, Mulberry Wine Braised Brandt Beef Cheeks, Crispy Skin Branzino, Lobster Tail, Swordfish, Alaskan Halibut, and a Filet Mignon.

 

The view is a big draw to the Marine Room, and it is amazing to watch the sunset and the waves that crash against the windows, which is quite spectacular. The decor is old-school and elegant, and the service is impeccable. This makes it one of the best restaurants on the beach in San Diego.
