The spot itself has a super cool, rustic vibe, and it is pretty roomy so your whole crew can stop in for some pizza and brews before the ballgame. The have so many delicious pie options from super cheesy to meaty or load up with some veggies. Try some cocktails like the Basic Mule or the Basic Manhattan. Your experience here will be anything but basic!

If you’re looking for something quick and delicious, try the Taco Stand in the Urban Market just a short walk from Petco Park. They offer several tacos and burritos to choose from, including the fan-favorite lamb taco. Whatever you choose, be sure to ask for some of their fresh salsa and tangy cilantro. This place is true in San Diego: casual, tasty, and unpretentious.

The Taco Stand at Urban Market offers $1 tacos on Tuesdays! You can also find deals like this in the Urban Market on Mondays (wings) and Wednesdays (chicken).

Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop (Pacific Beach)

Everybody loves Ben & Jerry’s! This beloved ice cream franchise started in Burlington, Vermont, in 1978 and now has over 30 locations worldwide. Although they serve their ice cream in cups and cones, the best deal is at the Scoop Shop. This small walk-up window located just off Garnet Avenue features five regular flavors served daily, as well as Ben & Jerry’s specialties like Cherry Garcia and Phish Food. They even offer vegan options!

Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop also offers ice cream on “flights,” perfect for sharing with friends. The flavors delivered vary daily, but you can expect to see classics like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and New York Super Fudge Chunk, along with some special flavors created just for the Scoop Shop.

This gastropub offers a unique twist on their pub food, making it much more refined and upscale. The menu includes grilled chicken thighs, lamb meatballs with garlic yogurt, crispy skin salmon with white beans, and a smoked cheddar mac & cheese. It is located in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, about a 10-minute walk north of Petco Park.

Craft & Commerce offers its full menu (except for the burger) daily after 3 pm. All appetizers are half off during happy hour, which runs Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm. If you’re looking for a delicious microbrewery near the ballpark, stop by Karl Strauss in downtown San Diego. They have a wide selection of craft beers on tap and a menu with appetizers, salads, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads, and even fish tacos. It is located just across from Petco Park in East Village, about a 10-minute walk from the park.

Karl Strauss provides $5 appetizers and $4 off any burger on Mondays. On Tuesdays, they offer $3 pints, with select beers available for just $2.50. They also offer 15% off any pizza on Thursdays.

For a swanky pregame or celebratory drinks after a win, The Nolen is the perfect spot. It has an incredible rooftop with views of the whole city including Petco Park!  The cocktail list is great with fun drinks like Bee’s Knees and Mary Pickford. They also have some tasty snacks to share like hot artichoke dip and tater tots. But if you’re a little more hungry from being in the stands for four hours and not wanting to leave your seat, you can always get something more filling like chili glazed meatballs or carnitas tacos.
