Morning Glory

50 W Date St, San Diego, CA 92101
(619) 629-0302

Morning Glory is a cute and casual restaurant that serves breakfast and brunch in a vibrant pink interior space. The eatery serves delicious brunch dishes such as Khachapuri, mouth-watering fresh baked bread full of cheese, bacon, and bone marrow which is tasty and filling.

Their fluffy souffle pancakes with just the right level of sweetness are another must-try dish. We had the fresh-squeezed orange juice and the coffee, although good, it wasn’t exceptional. The decor is fun and artsy, with pink umbrellas lining the terrace, a large pink star on top of the bar, and green and pink marble floors.

Communal Coffee

2335 University Ave San Diego, CA 92104

Communal Coffee is a charming coffee shop next to a florist shop. The coffee and flowers combo makes it a top photo spot. It is one of the most Instagram worthy restaurants in San Diego. Apart from the great-looking interior space, the outdoor area, next to a garden, is relaxing and aesthetically appealing.

The coffee in the shop is excellent with many options. We tried the lemon almond latte, which was truly magnificent. The latte flight with lavender honey and rose vanilla is a sweet option and brewed excellently. The croissants were delicious and flaky, while the turkey and egg sandwiches were filling and delicious.
