Copper Star Coffee

4220 North 7th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85013
(602) 266-2136

Copper Star Coffee embodies the spirit of “I’ll do it myself.” That’s because owners Bill and Ginger Sandweg have done just that. When they didn’t have a place to get a great cup of coffee, they created that place for themselves. Now, Copper Star Coffee provides the people of the Melrose District with not just excellent coffee but also chai, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, hummus, and more. Everything is made in-house and without cutting corners. Their house-made lavender syrup helped them win Phoenix’s best Herbal Latte. The chai is made from scratch. The bagels? Same thing. The bacon on their BLTs? You bet. The best part? It’s all affordable. The people at Copper Star Coffee know you shouldn’t be charged an arm and a leg for a nice hot cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast sandwich. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to try it for yourself.

Provision’s mission statement is “To build community through quality coffee, food, and beverage.” They do that, and they do it well. At Provision, coffee is meant to be approachable for everyone. This enables people to experience a broad spectrum of coffee and find what works for them. Everyone has different tastes, and Provision knows that. Provision also serves up classic, traditional, and seasonal cocktails at their bar if you visit later in the day, adding another dimension to everything. You can also order breakfast and lunch food items. All are delicious, but the breakfast sandwich is definitely the move if you’re in before 11 am. Oh, there’s also a secret menu, but you’ll need a password to access that, and it’s not our job to tell!

Prior to that, Xanadu operated a coffee house in the center of downtown Phoenix that has not only roasted its own coffee but also enabled other local businesses to roast their own, all while teaching people how to be baristas, fixing machines for those who need it, and making incredible coffee to boot. The shop in the Garfield District is where you can come to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee made by people who love every part of the process that goes into it. So come on by, order your favorite drink, and dig into one of their delicious ‘wiches. When you do, you’ll see why Xanadu is so loved by the community that it serves.

The food menu is bigger than most coffee shops, and breakfast is served all day and night. Luanas’s breakfast pizza is delicious and one of those items that hits no matter what time of day. You can sip on traditional lattes or try one of their many specialty lattes and refreshers. Luanas Coffee and Beer isn’t your standard coffee shop, but that’s what makes it so special.
