Santa’s Pub
2225 Bransford Ave, Nashville, TN 37204
(615) 593-1872
Located inside a double-wide, this karaoke dive bar is one of Nashville’s most eclectic bars that you have to see to believe. With a year-round Christmas theme, this lively bar is always hopping, and you never know when someone famous might pop in to belt out a tune. Santa’s Pub only keeps a handful of beers, ciders and sodas on the menu, but visitors here don’t seem to mind.
Urban Cowboy
103 North 16th St, Nashville, TN 37206
(347) 840-0525
This hip bar is connected to an equally hip B&B, something you might not expect to ever hear. Urban Cowboy’s smaller inside bar and relaxed outdoor space are loaded with comfortable seating, close proximity to fire pits or fireplaces and plenty of room to kick back with a beverage, some snacks and a few friends. The surprisingly spicy Bee Sting pizza is perfect to pair with a cooling cocktail, but the Pepperoni Rolls are what we like to nibble on when we aren’t looking for a full meal.
Edessa Restaurant Kurdish Turkish Cuisine
3802 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211
(615) 837-2567
For an authentic experience with food from Mesopotamia, Edessa Restaurant Kurdish Turkish Cuisine really delivers. From Turkish Coffee service to Tavuk Sis, a chicken shish kebab served on a surprisingly impressive hanger, Edessa gives you a chance to taste the rich flavors of Turkish and Kurdish cuisine in its casual, no-alcohol restaurant.
Bongo East + GamePoint
107 S 11th St, Nashville, TN 37206
(615) 777-3278
This combo coffee house/board game place is a unique spot in Nashville to go when a little caffeinated fun is what you are craving. An all-day breakfast menu with tasty items like the salmon-infused Goldilox bagel and a spicy Breakfast Burrito will fill you up, but Bongo also offers burgers, quesadillas and salads along with house-brewed beans. Visitors here love to snag a game to play or one to purchase and play later through their Game Subscriptions.
OSH Restaurant & Grill
216 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37211
(615) 712-9985
Until we stepped foot in OSH Restaurant & Grill, we’d never tasted the deliciousness that is Uzbek cuisine. Rich flavors in dishes like Lamb Somsa, grilled Branzino and the restaurant’s namesake OSH, a traditional lamb and rice dish, all bring the food of Uzbekistan into clearer focus at this friendly spot. Chef Oshpaz prepares food in the traditional way, like rice pilaf over an open flame, and that alone is worth trying out in this interesting and delicious restaurant in Nashville.
Greenhouse Bar
2211 Bandywood Dr, Nashville, TN 37215
(615) 385-4311
Nestled in the aptly named Green Hills area of Nashville, the Greenhouse Bar shows its cards right away. At once it is a quirky bar, a delicious restaurant called FoodCo inside the large greenhouse space and also a catering company, all with an eye toward making the world a greener place. The bar features comfortable but unusual seating options tucked away in cozy corners as well as a communal bar, perfect for making new friends who love communing with nature and a cocktail in this quirky and fun bar. The bar’s extensive cocktail menu includes garden-inspired drinks like the boozy Lavender Lemonade and the Cucumber Fresca, but the daily menu specials often sell out like Monday’s seasonal Harvest Melt Sandwich or Tuesday’s Cubano.
Hidden Bar
200 4th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37219
A cleverly designed speakeasy-style bar at the Noelle Hotel, Hidden Bar is a treat every time you visit. Dressed up to match seasonal themes, Hidden Bar might sport a gingerbread house hallway entrance or an eerie tribute to The Shining’s Room 237. Seasonal cocktails dominate the menu with spirited choices like the Bad Santa, the Snowball Old Fashioned as well as small bites like the Don’t Forget Your Lunch, Clark charcuterie board.
Hubba Hubba Tiki Tonk
922 Main St, Nashville, TN 37206
A Hawaiian take on the ubiquitous honky tonk, Hubba Hubba Tiki Tonk is a relatively new but eclectic dive bar that brings the number of tiki bars in Nashville to an astonishing three. A well-curated cocktail menu, outlandish decor and compact space all create an unmistakable vibe perfect for a drink after work or a late-night meet-up with friends. Our favorite signature cocktails here are Don’t Hassle the Hoff and Tiki La Rue, named after the on-site mascot that presides over this fun and funky spot.
