Copper & Kings Rooftop Bar & Restaurant

1121 E Washington St, Louisville, KY 40206
(502) 561-0269

Located on the third floor of the distillery, Copper & Kings is a perfect place to refuel on the Bourbon Trail without having to leave it. Sample in-house spirits while filling up on delicious dishes at Copper & Kings like the Umami Burger or the Steak Tartare when you come for dinner. But the brunch here is just as tasty with menu items we love like the Country Ham Sandwich or the classic Breakfast Plate to go along with bottomless cocktail options to sweeten the meal.

Repeal Oak-Fired Steakhouse

101 West Main St, Louisville, KY 40202
(502) 716-7372

The only oak-fired steakhouse on Whiskey Row, Repeal is where we go for top-notch service, food and cocktails for dinner and weekend brunch. From the crisp white tablecloths to the elegant barrel chairs dotting the dining room around the convivial round tables, a dinner here never disappoints. We love Repeal’s classic steakhouse offerings like Lobster Bisque, Baked Alaskan Crab and Tomahawk Ribeye. On the weekends, we like to start off a visit to the Bourbon Trail with a plate of Repeal’s Ora King Salmon or their Prime Rib French Dip.

In Season

324 W Main St, Louisville, KY 40202
(502)323-3200

For a quick lunch, order ahead or stop in to In Season for a healthy, fresh meal that will keep your energy up when you have a day packed with Bourbon Trail stops. Expect a crowd, though, because In Season is a popular local spot. Some of our favorites at this quick-serve spot are the Achiote Chicken Taco Bowl and the Summer Squash Bowl. And even though the menu changes seasonally to bring you the freshest ingredients, you can always build your own bowl with one of the dozens of veggie and cheese menu staples.

The Eagle

1314 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40204
(502) 498-8420

Sometimes a big plate of Southern comfort food is the balm for the soul we need after an afternoon on the Bourbon Trail. The Eagle delivers in spades with entrees like Fried Chicken, Braised Pork Sandwiches and White Cheddar Grits. When you come to the Eagle with a group of six or more, the Family Meal is the way to go with family-style service of fried chicken, sides and salad. Snag a seat at the bar, in the dining room or outside around a firepit for a delicious Southern meal that you will remember long after you leave the Trail.

Weird Al-buquerque Burger at Against the Grain Public House in Louisville

Against The Grain Public House

401 E Main St, Louisville, KY 40202
(502) 515-0174

This modern and sleek restaurant is where we go when we want a great burger and fries after a long day of visiting distilleries. Against the Grain Public House is a fun, relaxed spot where you can sit at the long community table or grab a table for your group with a view of a big screen or the social bar area decorated with irreverent and clever art. Some of the not-to-miss menu items here are the Dirty Burger with a side of Frickles (fried pickles) as well as the Derby City Skyline Dog.

Sidebar At Whiskey Row

129 N 2nd St, Louisville, KY 40202
(502) 630-2012

One of the best burgers in town can be found at Sidebar, located inside of the Whiskey Row Lofts. This unassuming restaurant is known for its legal-themed offerings like the Hung Jury Burger smothered in bourbon mushrooms and onions and the jalapeno-fueled Death Penalty Burger. Finish off your meal with a reading of the Verdicts, also known as dessert. But Sidebar’s most famous sweet endings are milkshakes that can be served as a boozy “Guilty” drink or prepared “Not Guilty” for the tea-totalers in your group.

Steak & Bourbon

1321 Herr Ln Ste 130, Louisville, KY 40222
(502) 708-2196

Rich, red leather booths, heavy curtained walls and an open kitchen all come together to create Steak & Bourbon’s high-end but still accessible atmosphere. Locals and visitors to the Bourbon Trail area come here for their fantastic food and gorgeous bar area. Some of the best dinner options here include any of their hand-cut steaks that you can customize with a smattering of sauces and add-ons like Crab Cake, Blue Cheese or Lobster Tail. The popular weekend brunch is also great to try, and we especially love to fill up on the Cheese Curd Burger or the Salmon Avocado Toast if we are headed to a tasting later.

Gralehaus

1001 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204
(502) 857-7457

For something a little different, we like to spend some time at the Grales, a collective of businesses anchored by a Victorian B&B. The Gralehaus is a charming breakfast and brunch spot in the B&B that morphs into the Holy Grale Pub by night. With a surprisingly eclectic menu, brunch at Gralehaus includes the Grale Burger that comes with onion jam and is served on a pretzel bun, while dinner offerings like Spätzle, Mussels and a veal and sauerkraut dish called Schweinshaxe tempt visitors to eat and drink at this restaurant oozing with European charm.
