1. Bleu Barn Bistro

1801 N Graham St Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28206,
No Phone Number

The family-owned burger joint is famous for its Bleu Barn Bistro Barn Burger that features a local grass-fed beef patty crowned with applewood-smoked bacon, a free-range egg and covered with a toasted bun. You will find a layer of roasted garlic aioli, red onions, butter pickles, mozzarella cheese, and arugula to add more flavor.

We consider this as one of the best burger spots mainly because of its farm-to-table menu. The burger will leave your taste buds yearning for more, but the outstanding customer service will make you a return customer. The spot operates from Monday to Sunday, 7 am-8 pm. 2. Brooks Sandwich House

2710 N Brevard St, Charlotte. Since 1973,
(704) 375-7808

Brooks has served Charlotte residents and visitors faithfully with some of the country’s best burgers and hot dogs. The family-owned business is well-known for its southern, rough-hewn burgers made even tastier with their trademarked homemade chili. Despite the recent tragedy of losing one of the co-owners, Brooks has bounced back into the business to serve Charlotte residents with some of their best delicacies.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, the joint is currently offering takeaways with a limited number of dine-ins. This has also forced them to revise their group order policy. When ordering as a group, your orders will be in one bag, as you requested, with one receipt to cater to the entire order.

3. Harriet’s Hamburgers

1115 N Brevard St Optimist Hall Stall #6, Charlotte, NC 28206,
(704) 582-4411

Harriet’s makes it onto our list for their juicy, delicious, and signature burger that has patrons returning for more. They are known for their cheese-stuffed hamburgers made by placing cheese between two patties and sealing it to make one large, juicy patty. The resulting burger has a clear distinction from the traditional cheeseburger based on texture and taste.

To add flavor to their burger, Harriet’s use a buttery Brioche bun, topped with in-house pickles, ribbon red onions, and their signature sauce. All this for $8.95. You can choose to dine-in or order takeaways. However, they don’t offer contact deliveries.

4. Pinky’s Westside Grill

1600 W Morehead St, Charlotte, NC 28208,
(704) 332-0402

When a burger place is featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, you know it’s earned a sterling reputation. Pinky’s more than meets the mark.

Their burgers are some of the best in town, whether you’re getting a Pterodactyl Burger (5-oz beef patties) served Ding Dong style, with crunchy peanut butter, cilantro-honey slaw, and sriracha (it sounds weird, and it is…but oh so very delicious) or the Patsy Melt: a 5-oz burger, topped with grilled caramelized onions, 1000 island, and both Swiss and American cheese on Texas toast. Or opt to keep it simple and just throw pimento cheese and “everything” (mayo, LTO, and pickles) on a burger. Get as many sides as you can, like sweet potato chips with wasabi ranch, waffle french fries, or onion straws, and don’t be afraid to start with their top-of-the-line Greg’s Pickles (fried pickles) served with ranch. They’re unbelievable.

8. Bang Bang Burgers

2001 E 7th St D, Charlotte, NC 28204

(704) 375-4505

It’s important to note what makes Bang Bang burgers different than your standard one: the details. They use locally-baked brioche buns from Duke’s Bread, the highest quality of black angus meat, and sides and toppings sourced from local partners. Owner and Chef Joe Huang loves what he does and it shows with every bite you take.

You can’t miss no matter what you get. The Pimento Burger is piled high with homemade pimento cheese, fried pickles, and ranch dressing. The Cowboy is overflowing with Sweet Baby Ray’s, bacon, and sharp cheddar. Even the black bean burger shows that the quality of your ingredients can be good enough that you don’t need any meat; it’s topped with homemade guacamole and ranch as well as Swiss, mixed greens, and sliced tomato.

9. Ace No. 3

1001 Belmont Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205

704-910-2200

This Belmont Village joint has won “Best Burgers” in Charlotte several years in a row and they don’t plan to surrender that title anytime soon. It’s hard to argue with “The Ace”: two patties, American cheese, steamed onions, house-made pickles, and their best-in-class Comeback sauce. You can always build your own creation, but make sure you get it with sweet potato tots. And make sure to check out Shake Break, when they sell milkshakes every weekday from 2:00 – 4:00 PM for only $2.50.

10. Billy Jack’s Shack

3220 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

(704) 817-8231

Right in the heart of NoDa, Billy Jack’s Shack is a Charlotte staple. You can go for variety with the sliders. Our favorites are the Cobra Kai (cream cheese, jalapeno jelly, and pickled jalapenos) and the Greg Brady (mac n cheese, American cheese, and BBQ chips). The 10-Napkin Burgers are the crowd pleasers, though. The Big Jack is the classic cheeseburger, with American cheese, shredded lettuce, dill pickles, fried onions, and Doppelgänger Sauce. You don’t even need to eat a burger to have a fantastic meal. The Southern Charm Chicken Sammy is a country fried chicken thigh with bacon, chipotle pimento cheese, and jalapeno jelly and it’s absolutely marvelous.
