Poppy’s Bagels and More

2921 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28211, United States
(704) 366-8146

This is a family-run business that opened in Charlotte in 2010. They have two locations, but the menus are the same. The bagels are made in the traditional kettle boiled and baked method. The dough is made fresh several times a day. From plain bagels to topped with cream cheese or a lox spread, there’s a wide variety of selections on their menu. They have healthy alternatives on the breakfast menu if you are on a low-carb diet. The bagel flavors include honey wheat, garlic, onion, salt, sesame seeds, or you can have one that has everything. Our fave! The homemade salads and soups are also worth trying, too.

Although they are new to the food scene, having only opened in 2020, Good Wurst Company have some of the best bagels in Charlotte. It has quickly become a favorite spot for the local community. They open every day for breakfast from 7 am to 11 am. They have six Montreal-style bagels on the menu. There is garlic, poppy, cinnamon raisin, sesame seeds, and plain bagels. All their foods are made fresh everyday with quality ingredients. They offer a walk-up window, dine-in, and delivery depending on the kind of day you are having. Poppyseeds Bagels

1311 Chestnut Ln Matthews, NC 28104
(704) 234-0247

Poppyseeds Bagels is a family-operated business that has served the community for three generations. They serve New York-style boiled and baked bagels. They also have salads, desserts, pastries, and sandwiches. The bagel flavors include whole wheat, blueberry, and French toast, but we highly suggest the plain bagel with chocolate chip cream cheese for something a little different. Their bakery also makes brownies, cookies, and brownies. They have a casual setting for dine-in that’s great for breakfasts. Most restaurants offer catering services these days, and Poppyseeds is no exception. Whichever party you have, they have bagels and other foods ready for you.

Manhattan Bagel

8040 Providence Rd Ste 200, Charlotte, NC 28277, United States
(704) 541-0833

There is a selection of authentic, delicious bagels at this spot. Their cream cheese selection is anything but regular. There is jalapeño salsa, honey almond, and strawberry flavors that would also go well with whichever bagel you choose. It would be okay if they had only bagels on the menu, but drinks always make the meal better. Manhattan Bagel makes 100% Arabica coffees, lemonade, and different kinds of smoothies. They are part of Panera Brands, but despite being part of a big chain they bring a small town charm to every bagel they make. If you are a sweet tooth, you will enjoy the sweets section on the menu, which has some really great muffins. Don’t forget to try the original classic bagel.

Bagel Bin & Deli II

16709 Orchard Stone Run, Charlotte, NC 28277, United States
(704) 542-4848

Two brothers started this shop, and apart from their local coffee brews, they also make amazing bagels. The everything bagel is one of the best sellers on the menu. There are other flavors to pick from such as chocolate chip, honey wheat, cinnamon raisin, or blueberry. The friendly staff is part of why they are a neighborhood favorite. The bagels are made fresh every day, and if you are from New York, you will notice the resemblance in texture and taste. They are open by 6:30 am from Monday to Friday.

Mike’s Deli & Bagels

5303 Poplar Tent Rd, Concord, NC 28027
(704) 956-2306

It gets pretty busy at Mike’s Deli & Bagels in the morning when people try to get their bagels and coffee before work, but they are open until the evening so you can grab your bagel anytime throughout the day. You can choose between butter, jelly, or cream cheese to go with your bagel. The menu is very extensive and bagels are just a small part of it. There is even a kid’s menu with peanut butter and jerry and cream cheese and jelly bagels. It’s better if you can get a chance to sit down at the restaurant and get the full experience!
