Acme Lowcountry Kitchen

31 J C Long Blvd, Isle of Palms, SC 29451
(843) 886-3474

Nothing says South Carolina like lowcountry, but brunch might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to this cuisine. But consider yourself lucky because you are in for a very pleasant surprise.

Acme Lowcountry Kitchen is one of the most beloved spots in the beach town of Isle of Palms, no matter the time of day, but brunch is where they truly thrive. The Holy City Hash is a hearty blend of house-braised corned beef, crispy roasted potatoes, red onions, and fried eggs, smothered with a robust smoked gouda cream. The Mount Pleasant Benedict tops their famous fried green tomatoes with poached eggs on an english muffin with hollandaise sauce. They’re perhaps best known for their various iterations of shrimp and grits, like the Isle of Palms (blackened shrimp and smoked sausage over truffle cheese grits) and the Whistle Stop (sauteed shrimp and fried green tomatoes over pimento cheese grits).

Mozzo Deli

730 Coleman Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464
(843) 388-5755

Mozzo Deli is the kind of place that makes you wish you were a Mt. Pleasant local just so you could eat here every day. There are so many breakfast and lunch options, all propelled by their phenomenal baked goods and other deli specialties, so naturally they’re a must when it’s brunch time.

The Breakfast Burrito is one of the best you’ll eat in the whole state: your choice of meat (we recommend sausage), green chilis, potatoes, cheese, and chipotle sauce. The potatoes have a soft, cloudy texture that complements the crispy tortilla nicely, and the green chilis add a tart spice that elevates the creamy and saucy chipotle sauce. The Egg Sandwich (which we like on ciabatta with bacon) is a simple yet perfect way to start your day.

Félix Cocktails et Cuisine

550 King St #100, Charleston, SC 29403
(843) 203-6297

Félix is a charming French brasserie with light but rich foods, like you’d find anywhere along the Seine.

The Brasserie Club is simple but executed to perfection, with impossibly juicy grilled chicken, thick-cut bacon, tomato, arugula, parisian ham, and a jalapeno-leek aioli with a perfect kick served on a buttery brioche with a side of fabulous pommes frites. The Raclette Burger is another treat, with two short rib and brisket patties, caramelized onion, raclette, and dijonnaise on a sesame bun with the frites. You can also opt for some brunch classics like the Pain Perdu, or french toast, and Félix Benedict, with a fresh crab cake.
