Cloak & Dagger

1359 U St NW, Washington, DC 20009
(703) 231-8221

Cloak & Dagger is a bar and dance club that is filled with mystery and intrigue. Your eyes will tell you that you’re lost somewhere in the 1800s. Meanwhile, your ears will tell you that you’re somewhere in the 1990s and 20002s with hip-hop and pop being spun by the DJs. Have the bartenders mix you a cocktail or take advantage of the bottle service. There are also some delicious bites to feed your appetite, including a delightful mac & cheese. The best part is that they’re open until the wee hours.

Harlot has a lot going for it, whether it’s a karaoke night or not. You’ll find the glamorous décor to be just what you need for a night out with the girls. Cherry blossoms and chandeliers hang from the ceiling and red velvet booths provide cozy seating. Indulge in comfort food from the kitchen, whether it be chicken and waffles or grilled salmon skewers. Hydrate with cocktails like a flirtini or choose from the beer and wine options. Oh, and if you can’t make it a night out with the girls, there’s always drag brunch on the weekends.

Mr. Braxton Bar & Kitchen

3632 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20010
(202) 882-4555

Mr. Braxton’s is a funky bistro where you can sit inside, but the outdoor patio is where you’ll have the most photo ops. We love how generous the portions are on the menu, especially the hanger steak. Cocktails, beer, and wine flow heavily here. You’ll find great music, and the place really starts to get a crowd later in the evening. They’re open until one in the morning, so it’s a chance to stay out late on girl’s night.

Pearl Dive Oyster Palace

1612 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20009
(202) 319-1612

The Pearl Dive has a lot going for it, which is why it’s one of our favorites for girl’s night. There’s an upstairs and downstairs as well as patio seating. The seafood menu is comprehensive, and we highly recommend the Wood Grilled East Coast Oysters. And if you get there during happy hour Monday through Thursday, you can eat and drink the same great stuff at a discounted price. When you want to do more than drink and gossip, take advantage of their bocce court.

The Gibson

2009 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20009
(202) 629-1081

Most DC locals know about The Gibson because of the Prohibition-era cocktails that are served here. The moment you walk in, you’ll be embraced by dark lighting and a warm vibe. Sit at the bar, at one of the high-tops, or even on the intimate patio. “All Night Bites” will allow you to taste some delicious food, and we recommend the avocado tartine. The cocktail menus change by the season, and you’ll want to try The Gibson since that’s their signature drink.
