O’Brien’s Irish Pub

Considered Tampa Bay’s St. Patrick’s Day Headquarters, O’Brien’s has 30 beer taps, an extensive liquor list, and an 11-page menu full of tantalizing food. During a recent visit, we found that the more-than-generous appetizers are perfect for sharing with the table. For those looking for Irish food in Tampa, the bangers and mash with Guinness gravy, shepherd’s pie, and Irish fish ‘n’ chips will be just fine. O’Brien’s also caters to American tastes with burgers, sliders, sandwiches, and more. This is also a fun place for games and live music!

Irish 31

1611 West Swann Avenue, Tampa, FL
(813) 250-0031

We loved the upscale Irish bar food at Irish 31! The shepherd’s pie boxty on the appetizer menu offered a chance to try three boxties stuff with a house-made shepherd’s pie filling before being topped with Irish 31’s in-house 1764 gravy. The entrée menu offered all of the classics we hoped to find. The shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, whiskey salmon and fish and chips all make for a great entree choice. And you can’t forget about the St. Patty Melt featuring a grilled burger stacked with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, grilled onions, and Emerald Isle sauce between two slices of toasted rye bread. The nice thing about this restaurant is that you can choose to either sit inside to catch a game on the multiple televisions or relax outside on the patio.

The Dubliner Irish Pub

2307 West Azeele Street, Tampa, FL
(813) 258-2257

Considered South Tampa’s go-to neighborhood pub for more than 20 years, The Dubliner is a great place to tuck into some yummy bar food. We felt right at home in the cozy, laid-back atmosphere. You’ll want to find a spot out on The Dubliner’s large outdoor patio with a blueberry wheat craft beer from the tap. The four-leaf clovers the bartender adds to the froths will definitely make you smile! While the menu is slightly limited, the selection and pricing is just right for a casual evening out.
