1. The Backdoor

462 N 36th St, Seattle, WA 98103
(206) 632-7322

A funky Freemont favorite is The Backdoor, a unique live performance destination and an excellent choice for dinner and drinks. But the real draw here is the quirky decor and hip vibe at one of Seattle’s most popular speakeasies. The Backdoor is known for its unassuming entrance (at the back of another restaurant) that gives way to an eclectic, raucous interior full of massive murals, fun lights and cozy booths. The menu includes some Greek delights like Hummus, Crab Cakes, and Greek Truffle fries complete with tzatziki sauce for dipping. But a classic Backdoor Burger is always a good choice to go along with the live local shows on here just about every night.

2. Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley

2033 6th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
(206) 441-9729

This intimate venue is the spot to go six days a week to listen to national music acts that have brought their tour to Seattle as well as enjoy a delicious dinner. Specializing in jazz and blues, Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley promises up-close seating, making a night with performers like Peabo Bryson, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy or even Motown legends like the Four Tops even better. Events are ticketed and the price of dinner is separate, but you won’t mind with amazing offerings like Grilled Prawns and Grits, Seafood Curry, Cuban Style Pork and Fresh Petrale Sole Parmesan on the menu. And as Seattle’s premier jazz club since 1979, Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley is destined to become one of your new favorite places to chill out to some cool jazz over a great plate of locally sourced, organic Pacific Northwest food.

3. Little Tin Goods & Apothecary Cabinet

5335 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107
(808) 635-6516

This quirky Ballard spot offers some of the best craft cocktails in the city like the Chakra Khan, a delicious dragonfruit-imbibed pina colada. And while technically a bar, dinner here is easily attainable because the small but very tasty Snacks bar menu ordered from a QR code includes dishes like Ono Pork Dumplings, Panko Coconut Shrimp and wood-fired pizza. Live music on the weekends makes Little Tin even more popular, so get a reservation or plan to wait out the 90-minute allowance guests are given to enjoy this kicky, kitschy Aloha-style destination.

4. The Pink Door

1919 Post Alley, Seattle, WA 98101
(206) 443-3241

Nestled on a beautiful side street in Pike Market, the unassuming pink door entrance doesn’t give away the speakeasy feel of this gorgeous, not-to-be-missed spot in Seattle. The funky live music and entertainment shows fit The Pink Door’s eclectic vibe, treating guests to everything from jazz trios to accordion players to aerial performances. Serving up classic Italian dishes, The Pink Door is famous for its Linguine alle Vongole but the Lasagna Pink Door made with spinach-layered pasta dripping with red and white sauces is one of our favorites.

5. Serafina

2043 Eastlake Ave E, Seattle, WA 98102
(206) 323-0807

This Eastlake spot is regularly crowded with locals who know about Serafina’s decades-long reputation for amazing homemade pasta delivered with a European flair. From Serafina’s homey main dining room to its cobblestone back patio, a visit here feels like stepping into your favorite grandmother’s home to sample her secret but spectacular recipes from the Old Country. Some of our favorite dishes here include Rigatoni Bolognese and the appetizer portion of Arancini, and the perfect cocktail to sip on while listening to Serafina’s occasional live music is the gorgeous limoncello-spiked Amalfi Breeze.

6. Six Seven Restaurant

2411 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98121
(206) 269-4575

Situated right on Elliot Bay, the Edgewater Hotel’s lovely Six Seven Restaurant delivers spectacular sunset views, outstanding food and live music in the lounge area. Luxurious oversized booths, sweeping windows and rustic stone detailing at Six Seven make it obvious that Edgewater is one of the PNW’s best hotels. But locals and visitors alike come here for the Seared Scallops, Chimichurri Salmon or even a juicy Ribeye as well as the unbeatable ambiance made even better by weekend musical entertainment in the lounge.

7. The Triple Door

216 Union St, Seattle, WA 98101
(206) 838-4333

This multi-space venue is where we love to go to check out a variety of music and performance shows along with dinner. Mainstage, the largest auditorium, features touring national acts while the smaller MQ Stage and Lounge are perfect for catching popular local music. The Triple Door’s PNW menu leans into Southeast Asian dishes like the Chicken Pad Thai and the Green Curry Chicken, but the Tuna Bruschetta is a delicious option as well. Large, half-moon booths provide ample comfy seating, but since this is a performance venue, many performances also require tickets to enter in addition to the price of your meal.
