Where to Eat Near the Seattle Convention Center
From Norwescon to Emerald City Comic Con to concerts and conventions, the Seattle Convention center sees its fair share of big events. Whether you are in town for a particular event or just happen to find yourself in that area, you can always count on some delicious food nearby. We’ve found some of the best places for you to eat around the Seattle Convention Center, no matter when or what you might want!

Shaker and Spear

Shaker and Spear has a convenient location inside the Kimpton Palladian Hotel. The chic eatery offers a posh dining room with wood décor. Classic Pacific Northwestern cuisine is served with a creative twist. You’ll find everything from carrot-braised lamb to miso-glazed cod. There’s always a dessert menu, which is updated seasonally, that you won’t want to miss. A full bar is available, though, there are quite a few local and import beers that are sure to impress, too.

Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Café might be a chain, but it’s exceptional in terms of food, service, and ambiance. You’ll find all sorts of rock memorabilia surrounding the tables, and music videos are always playing on the TVs. The menu, which is available during lunch and dinner, will provide American fare that ranges from burgers to BBQ ribs. There are some amazing cocktails, too, and many are inspired by rock legends. The place is quite popular, so it’s a good idea to reserve a table.

The Carlile Room

The Carlile Room is a cocktail bar with a full menu of modern American fare. There are pre- and post-theater service menus available, and you can certainly dine while visiting the convention center, too. The hot spot includes tables and chairs along with curved booths. There’s a bit of everything, though almost all items are sourced locally and many of the vegetables are organically grown. The handmade radiatori pasta is definitely one of our favorite meals. You’ll also find cocktails with and without booze for your sipping pleasure.

The Pink Door

Located near Pike Place Market and the Seattle Convention Center, The Pink Door is so much more than a place to eat. You’ll be able to be entertained by burlesque shows and trapeze entertainment on a regular basis. The menu consists of authentic Italian cuisine as well as a full bar where you can have virtually any cocktail concocted. The dining room is intimate. You’ll also love dining on the terrace where you can enjoy stunning views of Elliott Bay.

Dough Zone Dumpling House

Seattle is well known for its Asian influences, so we just had to include a dumpling house. Dough Zone is one of the best because of the great ambiance and the diverse menu. The dim sum style menu allows you to try quite a bit without spending a fortune. Chill inside and even take advantage of the free Wi-Fi. If you do wish to do takeout, they are ready and willing to box up as much as you care to eat.

Lady Jaye

Lady Jaye is a rustic spot where you can explore smoked meats and more. You’ll find delicious, freshly made sides, a menu of cocktails, and amazing flavors on all of their menus. A large outdoor fire pit is particularly inviting on the colder nights in Seattle. Specials vary throughout the week, with such items as smoked bologna, bulgogi short ribs, and plenty of other exciting foods. The butcher shop hours vary from the restaurant hours, so if you want to stop in solely for meat, be sure to check the times.

Cortina

Cortina is an Italian restaurant and bar located in Two Union Square. Sit right up at the bar or at one of the tables nearby. There are small plates, a wide selection of pasta, and even a unique dinner for two option on the menu. Tantalizing cocktails are always being shaken at the bar. Plus, you won’t want to miss out on their delightful happy hour.

Pike Place Chowder

Chowder is a Pacific Northwest staple, and Pike Place Chowder is arguably one of the best in all of Seattle. It’s close enough to the convention center that you can run out and grab some soup during a break. Their New England Clam Chowder has won a ton of awards over the years. There’s a counter-serve setting and plenty of seating if you decide to eat there. Otherwise, they do quite the to-go business. Expect a line when you arrive, no matter the time of day. The good news is that you can order ahead of time, which is highly recommended.
