Chickie’s & Pete’s is a casual hangout with locations all across Philadelphia. Not only will you find this location near the Wells Fargo Center, but you’ll also find another one right inside of the venue. It’s home to TVs on the walls playing all of your favorite sports games. There are plenty of beers on tap as well as a few unique cocktails. The home run of items on the menu is the crabfries, though you won’t want to miss out on a delicious Philly cheesesteak while you’re there.
L’Angolo Ristorante

L’Angolo is serving up some delicious homestyle Italian fare. But there’s another reason that we love it so much. It’s a BYOB restaurant, so we can bring our own beverages. It’s a rustic dining room with murals and brick alcoves throughout. The menu is quite expansive, so there’s something for everyone. It’s also kid-friendly, which is a nice bonus. It’s always fun to start with some appetizers and our favorite here is the pan-seared, smoked mozzarella. Go ahead and make a reservation so you’re not late to your event at the Wells Fargo Center.
Gatehouse

Gatehouse is found at the Navy Yard. It’s a creation by Mark Vetri, and you’ll get a chance to explore some of the family’s Italian recipes. It’s home cooking at its best with dishes that include seared salmon, zucchini parmesan, and braised pork shoulder. The menu changes seasonally, and you’ll want to explore the happy hour, too. It’s a casual place with an outdoor terrace, but you’ll still want to make reservations.

1100 Social is a unique restaurant found at Xfinity Live! Philadelphia. The menu is a fusion between Mexican and Asian, ensuring that everyone can find a delicious meal. There’s a heavy cocktail atmosphere in this fun hangout. Find a table outside or inside, and they can accommodate large groups so this would be a great spot to head to before or after an event. Plenty of delicious food is available, but you’ll want to save room for the doughnut holes that are served warm for dessert.
Popi’s Restaurant

Popi’s is a mainstay for Italian food in Philadelphia. It’s ideal for date night with the softly lit dining room. You’ll find plenty of hidden areas within the restaurant for groups and for banquets. Every now and again, you’ll find a singer at the bar to create an even more romantic vibe. Everything is fresh and authentic, including the Fruitte di Mare as well as the Gnocchi Sorrentina. You’re in for a treat here but be sure that you come hungry as the portions are large.
Penrose Diner

Penrose Diner has been around for over 50 years, and it features all of the diner classics on its menu. On the weekend, it’s open 24 hours. You’ll find plenty of breakfast specials, a kid’s menu for every meal, and so much more. You’re likely to spot the dessert case when you walk in, so save room as there are some epic items hiding in there. Service with a smile is a given, and the selection of food is an added bonus.
Oregon Steaks

Oregon Steaks is one of the best places you can go around the Wells Fargo Center for cheesesteaks and hoagies. It’s not your ordinary restaurant. Instead, you can get served right from the window and then grab a seat. It’s open 24 hours, so you never have to worry about going hungry. Beyond cheesesteaks, you’ll also find gravy fries, pizza rolls, and what’s known as Florida Style Inside Outs, which is also known as an inside-out pizza. And if you’re running late for a game or show, you can always get your order to go.
Barrel’s Fine Food

Barrel’s is an Italian American trattoria with a BYOB policy. They’re open for lunch and dinner, but they are closed on Sundays. It’s the kind of casual restaurant that you can stop into with the whole family. You’ll find everything from burgers to chicken parmesan. The brick exterior with the brown awnings tells you that you’ve reached a classic restaurant, and the food doesn’t disappoint. Eat in or take out. Whatever you choose, you’ll get a delicious meal.
John’s Roast Pork

Folks have been coming to the Bucci family for roast pork sandwiches since 1930. Like Tony Luke’s, John’s Roast Pork eventually got into the cheesesteak game and is well known for having one of Philadelphia’s best! Owner John Bucci swears there won’t ever be a second location, so you’ll have to head to South Philly to try it!
Tony Luke’s

Tony Luke’s never set out to make a cheesesteak sandwich. Instead, they wanted to serve the large Italian-American community in Philly with roast pork and chicken cutlet sandwiches. But the demand for their version of a cheesesteak only intensified over the years and in the 90’s, they added one to the menu. They also do delicious chicken cheesesteaks and use local ingredients from the mid-Atlantic area.

Well, they at the very least have the best name for any cheesesteak place in Philly. Gooey Looie’s lives up to their name though! They serve ENORMOUS, gooey, cheese-dripping sandwiches. Maybe bring wipes – the mess will be worth it.
