Philadelphia Brewing Co
2440 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125 | (215) 427-2739
Alright, so Philadelphia Brewing Co isn’t a restaurant. However, it’s one of the best places to check out the food truck scene in Philly. Their schedule shows that they have a constant rotation of the hottest food trucks in the city. Plus, they have weekly tastings of beer so that you can have a tasty brew alongside whatever it is that you order.

LMNO is a Mexican restaurant unlike anything else we’ve ever found. They’re known for not only their tostadas but also their pan-fried lobster tails. The seating inside is surrounded by an industrial chic vibe. Outside, there’s a stunning patio with yellow tables and chairs. At night, twinkle lights create a fun atmosphere for dining under. Local ingredients fill the menu at Helm. The chefs create New American dishes based on the season, and you’ll find the latest specials on their blackboard when you walk in. Yolo is a seafood restaurant that is open seven days a week, but only for late lunches and into the evening for dinner. A lot of soul food is served up daily, and it is quite a popular restaurant for people looking for shellfish. The portions are hearty and well-flavored, so you’ll never walk out hungry. It’s a casual place, and you may even meet a few new people by the time you’re done dining. While their drinks are served in plastic cups, trust us when we say that you’ll want to try their rum punch.
Osteria
640 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19130
(215) 763-0920
While this one is down the road a bit, we had to include it on our list because it’s rustic Italian food in an intimate setting. It also has an impressive wine list. With the slanted windows, you’ll feel as though you’re sitting inside a greenhouse. As for the menu, the wood-fired pizzas are divine. The menu changes seasonally, though you can typically find plenty of savory pasta, including ones with duck, clams, and even octopus. You’ll want to reserve a table to ensure that you can get in.
