Nashville is home to some incredible restaurants and being able to sit outside makes it easier to see all that is going on in this poppin’ city. You may be able to listen to live music or simply soak up the Tennessee heat. We’ve found some incredible restaurants with patios, and the food offered at each is beyond delicious. It’s one of the reasons we love traveling to the home of country music as often as we do! If you’re looking to eat on an outside patio on a lovely day in Nashville, check out our list below of some of the best.

Blue Moon Waterfront Grille

525 Basswood Dr, Nashville, TN 37209
(615) 356-6666

Blue Moon may be one of the most laid-back restaurants in Nashville. The eatery is right along the river with plenty of indoor seating and a bar. The spacious outdoor patio provides great views as well as plenty of shade. Lunch is served Friday and Saturday and brunch is served on Sundays. Dinner is served every day of the week. The menu is the epitome of what you want while looking at the river – hush puppies, crab cakes, and don’t forget their Good Ol’ Po’ Boy.

The Treehouse

1011 Clearview Ave, Nashville, TN 37206
(615) 454-4201

We found The Treehouse by accident once, and we’re glad that we did. When you first approach, it looks like someone’s home. You’ll love the quaint setting as well as the back “yard” that includes an outdoor patio and plenty of seating. The menu includes bowls and sandwiches of every variety. If you have a sweet tooth, we highly recommend the PBJ hand pie for dessert. As for drinks, there are cocktails, mocktails, and an ever-changing list of draft beers.

Von Elrod’s Beer Hall & Kitchen

1004 4th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37219
(615) 866-1620

Von Elrod’s welcomes you with a covered beer garden as well as an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. The industrial surroundings are perfect for gatherings of all sizes. And while you’re sipping on a beer and enjoying some of the house-made sausages, there’s also cornhole to keep you occupied. We highly recommend grabbing a pretzel and one of the many craft beers while you wait for the rest of your meal. With such an incredible patio, you’ll want to stay a while.

The Optimist

1400 Adams St, Nashville, TN 37208
(615) 709-3156

The Optimist is located inside The Griff. When you’re searching for seafood and a New American menu, this restaurant knows how to satisfy. The brick-lined eatery is cozy, and the patio offers seating under the stars. Don’t worry, there are heaters out there for the colder nights, too. The wine list can be intimidating, but all you have to do is ask for a bit of guidance. Oysters, gumbo, and flounder are favorites, though we happen to be suckers for the chicken and dumplings, which offers a unique spin with gnocchi and oyster mushrooms.

Zeppelin Nashville Rooftop Bar & Lounge

505 3rd Ave N, Nashville, TN 37201
(629) 236-0035

We love the patio at Zeppelin because it’s actually on the roof of the TownePlace Suites in the Capitol District. It’s in the heart of everything, and the industrial-chic design offers a funky vibe. You’ll find sharing plates, oysters, and plenty of cocktails. There’s also a Sunday brunch, though you’ll want to make reservations to ensure you get a table. With twinkling lights and firepits, the rooftop is definitely the patio you’ll want to be on as you explore their menu. Truffle fries are always a favorite, and their braised pork shank is out of this world.

Butchertown Hall

1416 4th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37208
(615) 454-3634

When you’re in the mood for beer and stylish grub, Butchertown Hall delivers with its fun beer garden. You’ll find seating everywhere, including in a modern dining room, at the bar, as well as on the garden-lined patio. Beyond an extensive list of beers on tap, you can also check out the fun cocktails that are prepared to order. As for food, you can enjoy a bit of Tex-Mex, smoked meats, and a delightful butcher burger. And what would any beer hall be without wurst? You’ll find a bit of everything here.

Ellington’s

401 Union St 4th Floor, Nashville, TN 37219
(615) 988-7333

Located in the Fairlane Hotel Nashville, Ellington’s offers mid-century staples with a modern twist. The chefs work hard to find fresh, seasonal ingredients to exploit for the benefit of diners. While we love the clean lines of the interior, the wraparound terrace is one of our favorite places to enjoy a meal. From scallop ceviche to peanut butter soup, the creativity is evident in every dish. And with wine served by the bottle, you can have something delightful to sip as you enjoy the view.

Lockeland Table

1520 Woodland St, Nashville, TN 37206
(615) 228-4864

Lockeland Table is unique in every way, from the rehabbed storefront setting to the eclectic American menu with a distinct Southern spin. The interior is rustic with exposed ducts and other fun design elements. The menu boasts wood-fired pizza, pork loin, and more. Plus, seasonal cocktails are always available to put a smile on your face. The patio has a romantic setting with a bit of woods around you, allowing you to feel as though you have temporarily escaped Nashville.
