Five Daughters Bakery
1900 Eastland Ave Suite #101, Nashville, TN 37206
(615) 891-1293
Five Daughters Bakery is known for its 100-layer donuts, which is what initially brought us in the door. All sorts of classic pastries are found behind the glass counter, and the flavors are exceptional. The counter-serve bakery gets busy throughout the day, and they are open late into the evening. You’ll find a few tables and chairs inside of the airy location, but most people just grab and go. They have done so well that they’ve opened several other locations around Tennessee and they also have a couple of locations in Atlanta!
Baked on 8th
1512 8th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
(615) 933-1100
Cakes, cookies, and pies are the main items being baked at Baked on 8th, and we’re here for it all. The exterior wall has an Instagram-worthy art design that says, “Life Can Be Sweet.” On the inside, you’re greeted with the sweet smell of sugar, countless baked goods, and plenty of tables and chairs. You can order something to eat on the spot or place an order for something larger and more customized. The lemon bars are amazing, though you can’t go wrong with anything you order here.
Dozen Bakery
526 Hagan St #103, Nashville, TN 37203

Despite the name, you actually don’t have to order everything by the dozen. We love Dozen Bakery because they offer a wide array of items from pastries to bread. The menus rotate seasonally, which ensures that you’ll always find new and delightful baked goods. There’s also a full beverage menu, so you can enjoy espresso, tea, and more when you go in for a scone or even a freshly made sandwich.
D’Andrews Bakery & Cake

(615) 375-4934
D’Andrews has developed a reputation for being a place where you can hang out to enjoy freshly baked pastries and artisan coffee. There are plenty of handcrafted desserts and cakes for every occasion. Stop in for breakfast or lunch, or go in and grab a dozen cream-filled donuts for your workplace. We’ve fallen in love with everything we’ve eaten, and the relaxed vibe is just another reason to stop in.

Everything’s made from scratch, and you can order wedding and special occasion cakes. And in case you’ve ever been to New Orleans, there’s one of these bakeries there, too.
Baked in Nashville
2626 Eugenia Ave, Nashville, TN 37211
(615) 760-5101
Baked in Nashville got our attention because of their French macarons. They also offer cookies and cakes. Custom cakes can be ordered for birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions. Seasonal flavors ensure that you have a reason to visit the bakery again and again. You can order the macarons and cookies individually or packaged in gift boxes. Everything they do has an artistic edge, so you’re sure to impress when you bring baked goods from this bakery to your event.
Brightside Bakeshop
713 Porter Rd, Nashville, NY 37206
(615) 678-5058
There’s an East and a West location of Brightside Bakeshop. We happened into the East one because it’s conveniently found in the Shops at Porter East. The cinnaroll is their signature pastry, and it’s a treat that will start every morning off right. Sweet and savory pastries alike are served from the counter, and you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. There are a few seats inside, but you’ll find that takeout is the more popular option.
