Going to a baseball game is always a fun day out. What’s not so fun is how expensive the food can be in the stadium for what usually isn’t the best flavor or quality. Don’t get us wrong–there’s always a place for a giant hot dog and a beer at a ball game. It’s practically an American tradition! But if you’re looking for amazing flavor, quality ingredients, and an all-around better dining experience before or after the game, here are nine of the tastiest restaurants you can find near Progressive Field.

Barrio has consistently been voted one of the top ten best taco stands in the United States since it first started serving happy customers in 2012. Lucky for you, they have a restaurant that’s just a short walk away from Progressive Field. At Barrio, you can fill up on delicious customizable tacos. Add as many or as few ingredients as you want to make the taco you truly desire. If you don’t want the hassle of making your own, you can always check out El Jefe’s famoso taco suggestions.  Barrio also has a vast selection of tequila, whiskey, and beer that will prepare you for the game or help you celebrate a win afterward. And nothing says gameday like chips, salsa, and queso (check out whatever is their special queso of the week).

Marble Room Steaks and Raw Bar is unlike any other restaurant on this list. It’s by far the most upscale, and although it doesn’t necessarily have a dress code, guests are encouraged to dress in upscale casual to dressy attire to blend in with the rest of the crowd. Marble Room is serving up some of the best food you can get in the city. Period. They have everything, from some of the finest sushi and sashimi you’ve ever had to incredible oysters and steaks that are to die for. Add to that an impressive collection of hand-crafted cocktails, and Marble Room Steaks and Raw Bar is the perfect place to end your day if you want to be a bit opulent.

Cordelia is one of those places where you can’t go wrong with whatever you order. The jammy eggs, fried chicken, and burger box are hard to beat. For a deeper connection to the baseball team, order the Golden Arches Tartare, their take on a Big Mac but made with the famous Stadium Mustard. Make a reservation ahead of time to ensure you’re in and out in time for the first pitch.

Saigon Restaurant & Bar

2061 East 4th Street, Cleveland, OH 44115

Another excellent restaurant located on East 4th Street, Saigon Restaurant & Bar brings the treasure trove of textures and exotic flavors that is Vietnamese cuisine. The menu is clearly marked and features many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. We recommend getting the stirfry with your choice of meat and the spring rolls. The soups, especially the Pho, are perfect if you’re going to a chillier game at the beginning or end of the season. They also have a variety of traditional Vietnamese drinks and desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Also located within the Metropolitan at the 9 Hotel complex, Vault provides a very different experience from The Centro. Mostly because it’s located within the century-old vault beneath the Cleveland Trust Rotunda. Vault is more of a cocktail lounge than a standard restaurant, but it still belongs on this list. You can enjoy over 15 expertly crafted cocktails fashioned by Vault’s resident mixologist as well as delicious small plate offerings such as their Porchetta or Lamb Pastrami Paninos. Vault is the premier cocktail experience in Cleveland and makes for a great stop before or after a visit to Progressive Field.
