While their pizzas are some of the best in the city, their wings and stromboli are also incredibly popular and filling. 2. Cafe Everest

14304 Puritas Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44135
(216) 476-2990

Cafe Everest is by far the most unique spot on this list. That’s because this local delight of a spot specializes in Nepali fast food like Momo, Chaumin, Nepali-style Noodles, and Chapte. They also make excellent Indian food, including curries, kebabs, and tandoori. The food is incredibly affordable, especially when you compare it to what airport food costs. Might as well make a quick stop at Cafe Everest on the way. You’ll be in and out in no time and thoroughly stuffed.

4. Gunselman’s Tavern

21490 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, OH 44126

Opened in 1936, Gunselman’s has witnessed its fair share of history and has been serving happy customers the whole time. If you’re just getting home and need a bite to eat or if you’re about to take off and don’t want to splurge on airport food, Gunselman’s has quite a few options when it comes to burgers. From The Big G Burger with its two ½lb patties and delightful brioche bun to The Beast Burger with its wagyu beef, bison, wild boar, New Zealand elk, Ito, and house-made “beast sauce,” Gunselman’s has a burger for everyone.

5. Hatfield’s Goode Grub

16700 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44111
(216) 417-1056

To go ahead and get it out of the way, yes, Hatfield’s is owned by descendants of the infamous Hatfields vs. McCoys conflict. Hatfield’s initially started off as a food truck, but when demand started to outpace the truck’s ability to keep up, they opened up a brick-and-mortar restaurant to delight locals and visitors alike with a friendly space and delicious southern food. The food truck still runs, though, and if you’re in a hurry, you can walk in, order a coffee, place your order for takeout, and be on the way to catch your flight.
